Omnia mutantur, nihil interit.- Ovid

Had to drop off a new, dearheart of a friend today-
she leaves back in a month to her mother country after a year of
utter turmoil here on the stateside, but may be caught up in obligations
to other, older friends until then
I found myself blue that the time together had to be so short, after things
seemed to click in a way we normally attribute to meg ryan movies.
Simple, goalless, delightful, intense without being draining...
ah, almost lost sight of enjoying it for it...but well worth it with one final night.
we may yet have more time together before she has to leave for a long term.
(she also fixed Wienerschnitzel for us last night...mmm...sehr gut)

While we did lazily lay about the bedroom, long discussion was had about
love - in abstract - the whys, the who's, the whose - could'ves, maywills...
this allowed for more closeness than before (even if clovesmoke made her cough)
in a different sense (HA! as if there were merely five or six!)

So it can be called a love without fear of social reproach (well, you may
reproach, dear reader, but I do not fear you for it) or inner reserve/resolve...
it was as light as a leaf drifting onto the surface of a pond, breaking the reflective surface for
a moment...rippleripple....rest...yes...
god, when an image is perfect, it is perfect

"you know my love goes with you as your love stays with me
it's just the way it changes like the shorelines and the sea" - l. cohen

I wish I could transmit what life feels like right now to each of you, especially
those who hurt from seeking. I shall keep trying, beloveds.
