I keep seeing more and more people who jarringly remind me of people from my past.

I'll look and see an ex-, an elementary school friend, a college professor, a camp counselor, blink and it's not them.
Some of them are dead, or nigh-impossible to be there, and the frequency is increasing almost daily.

Of course this happens to many by the wondrous ways our grey matter works, but it's been accelerating. It's as if they're trying to tell me something. It feels like a warning. Or a threat.
It's not a promise.
Maybe they're angry that I've left them behind, just these images, when they used to occupy my mind, left me swimming in their cold depths, incapacitate me with the power of what-could-have-been.

putting text over here makes this entry art.

Or maybe I'm just fked in the head.

"I miss some people, but mostly none of you. Back into your glass cases, please, to peruse at my leisure."

Our Development Director always looks at the ground when he walks, as if to not meet anyone's eyes. He's a socially adept fellow -- I wonder if it's religious.
