How long do you think it usually takes to acquire a house, from say, finding one to buying it, assuming a standard number of negotiation back-and-forths, a few adjustments, standard closing, etc.?
I can't speak for anyone else, but it took me six months to find my house, a week to negotiate, and another couple of weeks to close. From the time I spotted my house (Aug 29) in the listings to the time it was mine (Sept 20), it was exactly 3 weeks. Although there had been another house prior and those negotiations fell through (the temporary disappointment derailed my enthusiasm for searching).
