First day back at work after my adventures in health care!
Now that I look back on it, my EMT was kinda cute...
I think the closest thing we have to a conclusion is a combination of dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, stress and some sort of stomach condition. The last bit was figured out because the symptoms of dizziness, rapid heartbeat, shallow breathing and general oh'shittery would reemerge (to a lesser degree) whenever I ate something. I really does thrill me that this is more akin to indigestion than any actual heart problems.
To all who responded, emailed or otherwise left note: Thank you for affirming you prefer me more alive than dead.
On Alito: honestly, all this angst at the Democrats is understood, but misplaced. Being mad at the puppet on the left hand when it comes to procedure. Justice is not obtained by any law.
Keep fighting, or capitulating, or whatever it is you think is your thing to do. As time passes, the less I'm convinced the solution will be found within this particular system as it stands.
I'm not sure on the 'why' of the date, but tonight I'm going to raise a glass to the fallen pope.

Date: 2006-01-26 08:05 pm (UTC)I’m glad you’re OK. I always say better safe than sorry when it comes to your health. I put off going to the emergency room once and went to the doctor the next day instead. It turned out my colon had ruptured and I should have gone to the emergency room the night before. Had I gotten care sooner the infection wouldn’t have been so bad. Had I not gone at all it would have killed me. So I think you were smart to get your pain checked out.
