I didn't pay too much attention to the stories, just because it seemed like another horrible tragedy out of thousands coming from the Iraq War, being propped up because he was a football player. But it actually does become more interesting as time goes on:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19984732/page/

Turns out "former NFL star and Army Ranger war hero Pat Tillman, who was killed in Afghanistan last year, believed the US war on Iraq was "f***ing illegal" and counted Noam Chomsky among his favorite authors"

http://www.commondreams.org/views05/1007-22.htm

"The doctors - whose names were blacked out - said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away."
3 bullets.

His last words were reported as:
‘Would you shut your f******* mouth? God’s not going to help you; you need to do something for yourself, you sniveling ...”

Ok, maybe I would call him my image of a hero.

Ann Coulter said she disbelieved the statements of the army chaplain who was next to him, his parents and various other reports of people who were there. Good for her! Think for yourself, girl! Facts are for suckers!

There is no vial of venom that these people will not tap into to force their worldview onto everyone else, forever.

However, I try to keep the long view, and I believe that truth will prevail.

We'll see.

I sincerely hope those were his last words. And I sincerely wish a 3 round burst would find its way to Ann Coulter's skull.

Somehow, the idea of a chaplain being specifically the one to say this, I find it both more plausible, and not-haha funny.

A fitting song.

No, it isn't at all ha-ha funny. Though I find some ironic humor in Ann Coulter essentially calling a chaplain a liar. It does have a trace of ha-ha funny if it weren't such a horrible situation. I love the guy's last words. Fuck yeah.

If I could only live in Ann Coulter's world, I would truly understand the concept of maya.

The world needs more Pat Tillmans, apparently.

That is so sad and infuriating.

That's the best photo of Ann Coulter I've ever seen.

Hopefully, Tillman's family will get some peace once everything is properly straightened out - if it gets truly straightened out.

wow.

I really wish people would stop listening to Ann Coulter so she will shrivel up like the nasty blemish she is.

The more that it unfolds, the more I am intrigued and enthralled, and saddened, and of course awestruck.

Pat Tillman is a miracle.

If I had to go, I'd like that to be on my epitaph.
